I am extremely disappointed with the treatment and lack of professionalism we experienced from the Valley Medical Center Room Service/Food Services team while we are currently in the Birth Center. We placed a meal order for the patient and have now been waiting for more than an hour. I understand that food preparation and delivery can take time, but my primary concern is not simply the delayβit is the disrespectful and insensitive way we were treated when calling Room Service. During the initial call to place the order, the communication was very cold and lacked basic courtesy and empathy. This is especially concerning in a Birth Center, where patients may already be experiencing significant pain, exhaustion, stress, and physical discomfort. Hospital staff supporting these patients should communicate with compassion and respect. After waiting approximately 45 minutes, I called again simply to ask for a status update. Instead of providing a courteous update, the person responded in a very disrespectful and dismissive tone, telling me, βYouβre not being patient. You have to be patient,β and essentially saying the food would arrive whenever it was ready. The call was then ended on

Our family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the incredible team at Valley Medical Center in Renton, Washington. A special thank you to Dr. Linus Loo, RN Karen, Thi & Emily, PCA Rosalinda, Physical Therapist Sunny, Occupational Therapist Cameron, and Rehab Coordinator Abigail and Omar and Emmanuel. Your compassion, professionalism, and genuine kindness made an incredibly difficult time much easier for our family. You helped our mom feel comfortable, safe, and cared for throughout her stay, and that gave us tremendous peace of mind. It's reassuring to know there are still healthcare professionals who truly care about their patients and treat them with dignity, respect, and compassion. Thank you for the outstanding care you provided. We will always be grateful for everything you did for our mom and our family.

I used to love Valley Medical Center. However their administration practices have really left a lot to be desired. Not to mention their satellite clinics have differing policies depending on the clinic. My most recent experience in Newcastle was awful. My long term primary doctor retired and finding a new doctor that listens to me, asks questions and doesnβt just shove pills at me has so far been impossible. I have to come to the main campus for lifestyle medicine and the front desk is so difficult to deal with. The provider is fantastic but the staff who sit at the desk are so confusing and unhelpful. Iβm strongly considering leaving VM all together. Iβve been going there for decades but itβs not the same. Most staff I come in contact with are quick to dismiss and just want to file patients through as fast as possible. They donβt actually care about wellbeing. The more they can push through the system the better.

OK. This is my first ever review for a hospital. But I think it was very important for me to leave one. I have never experienced the service at any other hospital in my whole life and I am 50 years old. I had to visit their ER. Rehab rooms twice in the last two months because of an accident which I ended Losing a leg. Everyone was so empathetic but positive they made sure I always had hope sitting in my thoughts. It was a very traumatic situation for me, but they made me feel like family. I wish I could point out one person, but every person in every floor in every department was amazing so when I had to go back there last week Of an infection they picked up right where they left off. And this is where I have to shine the light on one specific person and that means a lot because everyone at this hospital is a rockstar. Literally, the ambulance wanted to take me to a different hospital and I said no Iβm going to Valley medical in renton. And that is when I met a true angel. Alex Mendes (er) was the perfect combination of professionalism ,hospitality ,and Iβm embarrassed to say this , fantasy girl at the same time. I would be willing to lose another leg to go back to that emergency r

I didnβt come here as a patient β I came as a driver, just doing a delivery. And maybe thatβs exactly why I saw something most people donβt notice. This place doesnβt feel like just a hospital. It feels like a system. A living structure. Almost like a small city built around something bigger than itself π₯ The architecture caught me off guard. Thereβs this strange mix of time β parts of it feel modern, clean, functionalβ¦ and then suddenly you turn a corner and itβs like you stepped into a different era β³ I found myself walking slower, looking at details, taking photos of angles that probably werenβt meant to be noticed πΈ What surprised me the most was the atmosphere. No chaos, no rushing, no noise. Just a quiet, steady flow of people moving with purpose. Early morning energy β calm, focused, almost meditative. Some walking with coffee, some with headphones, everyone knowing exactly where theyβre going β It felt less like a place of stressβ¦ and more like still water β smooth, undisturbed, almost reflective. I didnβt experience the medical side of this place, so I canβt judge it the way most reviews do. But as a space β as an atmosphere β it left an impression. Not every place m
